Iranian Skiers Shine with Gold and Bronze at U-27 Asian Alpine Ski Championships

Iran’s alpine skiers continued their impressive performance by securing one gold and one bronze medal in the slalom events at the U-27 Asian Alpine Ski Championships in China.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Ski and Winter Sports Federation, on the second and final day of the 33rd edition of the U-27 Asian Alpine Ski Championships, Zahra Alizadeh Saveh dominated the women’s slalom event, clinching the gold medal and the championship title. Meanwhile, Sarina Ahmadpour secured fifth place in the same event.

In the men’s slalom, Mohammad Saveh Shemshaki claimed the bronze medal, while Amir Ali Alizadeh finished in sixth place.

With these results, Iran’s representatives concluded the tournament with a total of one gold and three bronze medals, following their double bronze performance in the giant slalom event the day before.

It is noteworthy that before the competition, the Alpine Skiing Training Camp, as part of the FIS development program, was held in China from February 21 with the participation of Iranian skiers.

Iran’s U-27 national alpine ski team competed in the event with the following lineup:

Men’s Team: Mohammad Saveh Shemshaki, Amir Ali Alizadeh Saveh
Women’s Team: Zahra Alizadeh Saveh, Sarina Ahmadpour
Coach: Baqer Kalehor
Additionally, Eisa Saveh Shemshaki, Vice President of the Asian Ski Confederation, attended the camp as an official guest of FIS and the Asian Ski Federation.
