Iranian Skiers Compete in Sprint Events at the Nordic Skiing World Championships

The Sprint events of the Nordic Skiing World Championships concluded in Norway with the participation of Iranian athletes.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Ski and Winter Sports Federation, the women’s sprint race took place today, March 29, where Samaneh Bayrami Baher finished in 105th place, Sahel Tir ranked 106th, while Atefeh Salehi and Farnoush Shemshaki placed 107th and 109th, respectively.

In the men’s sprint event, Danial Saveh Shemshaki secured 139th place, followed by Alireza Maghdid in 155th, Mehdi Tir in 156th, and Seyed Ahmadreza Seyd in 158th place.

Notably, Iranian athletes had secured two valuable quotas for the 2026 Winter Olympics in the previous day’s competitions.
