Iranian Skiers Win Two Bronze Medals at the U-27 Asian Alpine Skiing Championships

Iranian skiers secured two valuable bronze medals at the U-27 Asian Alpine Skiing Championships held in China.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Ski and Winter Sports Federation, on the first day of the 33rd edition of the championships, Zahra Alizadeh Saveh claimed third place in the giant slalom event in the women's category, earning a bronze medal. In the men's category, Mohammad Saveh Shemshaki also finished third in the giant slalom, securing another bronze medal for Iran.

The competition continues tomorrow, where Iranian skiers will compete in the slalom event.

Prior to the championships, an Alpine Skiing training camp, part of the development programs of the International Ski Federation (FIS), was held in China starting February 21, with Iranian athletes participating.

The Iranian U-27 Alpine Skiing Team includes Mohammad Saveh Shemshaki and Ali Alizadeh Saveh in the men’s division, and Zahra Alizadeh Saveh and Sarina Ahmadpour in the women’s division, under the guidance of coach Bagher Kalhor.

Additionally, Eisa Saveh Shemshaki, Vice President of the Asian Ski Confederation, is attending the camp as an official guest of the International Ski Federation and the Asian Ski Federation.
