 Purpose
of holding this course and introducin
The final purpose of organizing the
sport medical courses (special for ski) is to improving the
Medical knowledge which is related to the Ski Sport. The courses
are being held in 3 different levels: Basic, Intermediate
& Advance.Because of some particular situations such as
strong cold weather, altitude, environmental injuries like
avalanche, and sometimes being far away of the Urban Medical
Centers, it is absolutely necessary to give related knowledge to
our medical society. The Medical Committee of the I.R. Iran Ski
Federation had organized the Basic courses during the year 2003
& 2004 with the number of 135 participants. The report of these
courses was informed to the members of the FIS Medical Committee
in the Medical Meeting in Strasburg.
After corresponding with Mr. Dr.
Bengt Saltin, the chairman of the FIS Medical
Committee, he encouraged us for preparing the Intermediate
courses in March 2005 and it is our great honor to meet him in
Iran.
Intermediate Courses is being organized for the following
participants:

Having the Basic
Certificate (those who were not able to participate in Basic course
should pass the entrance exam related to Basic items).
-
Doctors and Medical
educated groups from other countries should have the certificate of
the NOC or Ski Associations.
-
The members of the
Medical Committee of each Ski Association.
Note:
After passing the Intermediate Course,
an International Certificate of Sport Medicine (special for ski)
will be given to the participants by the FIS signature.
